Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) allow potential licensees,
manufactures, researchers, or groups to participate in research in a variety
of ways—and for differing needs. Participation may involve equipment, facilities,
or finance. Licensee may use this as a first step or a first–look prior to
a licensing agreement. Researchers or groups may want to promote the technology
for personal or industrial need, or purely for research. ALT can provide
technology and/or prototypes as part of fund-matching for research at universities
and private laboratories. This type of agreement has the clear advantage
in early stage development projects, with shared cost and shared risk. |
